.:Gimmick Game:.It was a dingy place. It was kind of like those places where the Mafia gathered: dimly lit, dark-stained walls, low-hanging lights, with the smell of cigarettes and cigars, hidden and taboo.
For all I knew, it probably was: the people in the dark cafe wore hats and dark shades even when they all obviously didn't need to be shielded from any harsh light, since there was hardly any. As I walked passed, i could feel their gazes on me--making me feel, in addition, as if I was walking passed them in ultra slow-motion.
The sultry hostess of the place gracefully guided ahead of me: mysterious and intimidating. The led me to the darkest part of the room, where there was hardly any light source to make me feel safe. She bowed and held back a curtain made of beads that parted this room from another. Her hand gestured for me to go in without her.
My eyes lingered on her hand for a moment, scared to continue on: there was no longer any light on the other side. I held my breath and went in.
.:Uncontrollable:.He told me he loved me and then stressed then after that he wished to kiss me.
I will never forget that moment: as we stood outside the classroom door, in the corridor where dozens of other students passed, walking by as if we weren't there at all. It was either they didn't see us, or it was us that didn't see them anymore, completely lost in the moment of his words.

That gaze, coupled with my disbelief in the situation, rendered me incapable of speech, unable to make any audible sounds aside from the only sound I heard
When my parents passed away, I was told that I would be living with my Tita Mika. It had been written in my mothers will and since I was still a minor at the time, I had very little right to disagree. Not that I did (disagree, I mean) because I knew very well my mom had chosen her. Tita Mika was my moms second cousin. She didnt have any siblings and, although my dad had brothers and a sister, I suppose she and my dad had an understanding that Tita Mika would have been the best choice. Tita grew up with my mother and they kept in constant contact, although they saw each other very little. My mom knew that my Tita was a very nice, pleasant, caring and very understanding person. She liked the same things that I did, even had the same goals and dreams as I did. And, although Im sure neither of my parents had thought of it, we both had suffered through recent loss.
It wasnt too long ago either, that a while just before my parents passed away, Tito Emmanhe
